Hello, friends!
Let’s get right into this. I’m going to try to keep it short. But, I have a feeling it’s going to be kind of long.
We’ll go with Fulton Books first. As much as I was excited and got everyone else excited, I decided not to go with this company. I already knew they were a vanity publisher. I didn’t have $4000 to spend. Even the monthly payments were high. So, I decided to look into something else. I found iflowcreative. I spoke with the owner of the company. I felt like he understood what writers go through. Especially self published. I like what I heard and a lot of my questions were answered. They even help with finding self publishers and traditional. Of course I’m going to have to pay for the editing services. I did get the first chapter for free. I’m glad that they didn’t have much to do. But, I’m leaning towards going back to Smashwords. The good thing is they are in partnership with Draft2Digital. So, maybe I’ll be able to finally get my stories in print. Honestly, I shouldn’t second guess myself the way that I do. I always felt self publishing was the best thing for me because I don’t have to deal with deadlines and somebody else’s schedule. I’m not tied down by monotony. I still have my Smashwords account.
Website updates! I finally have a domain. ajjonesenterprises.com. I went ahead and invested in myself without cutting corners. Faith of a mustard seed. All else will fall in line.
I created a crochet page. That is in progress. I still have some work to do there. I cleaned some things up. I can accept payments for crochet items or whatever little creative endeavors I come up with. I can make invoices and order forms. I’m really excited to see how this goes.
Until next time, friends…
